-Name you would like to go by:
That would be my name, Ruadhán

-Present path or tradition:
Helenismos, Boeotian traditions

-Interests:
Mod subculture, Dexys Midnight Runners, The Fall, experimental music, London, art films

-Age (not mandatory):
older than I look

-Brief Bio:
retired goth, ex-LaVeyan Satanist, Amerikan-born by circumstances of geography and poverty alone raised to be British (like many who could, post-Blitz, my grandparents ran like hell — and immediately regretted it when they found themselves too broke to move back), my primary religious blogging is at Urban Hellenistos and Of Thespiae so I'm here to be social and stuff.

Huh, I apparently never posted an intro to this community. Probably because I am often of the lurking type and rather shy.

-Name you would like to go by: Holly (I also answer to Birgit in fandom circles)

-Present path or tradition: Northern Tradition Pagan. Mostly 'cause I got poked by Someone in that direction. Not Asatru, but will sometimes refer to self as Heathen or Norse Pagan for ease of explanation. I also come with a side of being eclectic in some of my personal beliefs/UPG, which is basically why I won't consider myself Asatru. Another interest of mine is Chaos Magic, but I have not studied it much yet due to school taking priority. I am also involved with a general pagan group on my college campus.

-Interests: reading, writing (and creating the worlds that come with them), studying history, cross-stitch, anime, video games, studying the runes, drawing

-Age (not mandatory): 24

-Brief Bio: History Major who is graduating this December, gender-queer but defaults to feminine pronouns because she's too lazy to do otherwise, grew up near a historical town where most of the revenue is from tourists and has way too many ghost tours for comfort, plans on getting her Ph.D. in history and specializing in WWI. Also plans on being a novelist by night. Will probably be living in said historical town after graduation when I take a year and a half break from school. Oh and is American and doesn't really know what to think of that.

I'll warn in advance that I may retreat to the shadows and lurk, though even then I might post comments from time to time.

Name:
You could call me by my username, or by Thora, which is my usual name in pagan communities.

Long intro post is long...yeah, I tend to ramble... )

Possible Suggestion:
Anyone interested in posting spiritual or pagan-related writing prompts once in a while? (Or maybe there's already a comm for that sort of thing? I haven't had time to nose around much yet, I admit.)
azurelunatic: Danger: High Energy Magic Use Area. Stick figure firing wand; pentagram. (high energy magic)
[personal profile] azurelunatic
-Name you would like to go by:
Azz or [personal profile] azurelunatic will do; I've been answering to that for the past ten years.

-Present path or tradition:
Eclectic, strongly scientific (I will look for a mundane explanation for any given unexplained phenomenon first, though I believe the mundane explanation can exist side by side with an arcane interpretation/message), with influences from Wicca and the Friends. It's also been influenced by Diane Duane's Young Wizards series, of all things (useful for ethics and terminology). Right now I'm not as active as I used to be in the past, but I'm trying to get some more actual magical practice in.

-Interests:
Technomancy, tarot, candle magic, divination

-Age (not mandatory):
30

-Brief Bio:
Born in Alaska. Had childhood magical practices with my sister, with assorted attempts to develop psychic abilities, alongside our father's useful lessons in keen observation. Our father was also very keen on celebrating the quarters of the year. I thought this was because of his career in space weather (solar seasons being very important to this), but a co-worker remarked that this also is apparently typical in Irish-descended families. Directed towards paganism by a high school friend, who gave me a few useful books. Moved to Arizona. Joined a Circle of eclectic tradition headed by a college housemate. (The circle sort of dissolved mostly due to conflicting schedules but also a decent amount of drama and crazy, both mine and other people's.) Got in touch with a small but helpful community online. Realized that one of my friends was answering to me as a Senior, which sort of boggled both of us (and sent me flailing to my Priestess-Confessor). Moved to California, because the hills were calling my name. Recently, my Junior came to me flailing because someone had started coming to *her* as a Senior. Ahh, the cycle of life. :D

-Name you would like to go by: Merry, it's my birth name and I think it fits quite well.

-Present path or tradition: None so far. I'm still doing research on Paganism, but I do want to be Pagan, I just have no idea what path yet. I am interested in cottage witchery, so if anyone knows more about that or has some links, I'd be grateful. :D

-Interests:
reading, writing stories and what I call 'musings', drawing star-maps, music, and video games.

-Age (not mandatory): 20

-Brief Bio: I have been on and off the Pagan path for years now(ever since I was 14, actually),and I think it's time to settle down. :) I am disabled and I live at home with my mom and three cats. I'm straight, but open to others' sexualities, religious beliefs, and so on. I'm also a Leo/Virgo, so basically I have a fiery passion for cleaning. :P

Also, does anyone have any tips for starting a book-of-shadows? I've already asked my flist this, but I thought I'd ask here as well. :D

Name you would like to go by: Patricia

-Present path or tradition: Kemetic Orthodox

-Interests: Meditation tips, energy work lessons, "tuning in"

-Age (not mandatory): 24

-Brief Bio:  Hello there!  mHtp!

I'm a young liberal pagan studying and following the ways of Kemetic Orthodoxy in the House of Netjer community.  Though stuck in a highly conservative area, I still feel such closeness (when I can "hear" Them) to my Gods and Goddesses...

Feel free to ask me questions, and expect me to ask some of you too :D
