Hi everyone, I'm a recent addition to DW as part of the Tumblr exodus. I really hope this site gives me way more opportunity to connect with people and make friends.

-Name you would like to go by:
Name's Tov, nice to meet you all

-Present path or tradition:
Chaote, practitioner of many things. Lots of divination, astrology, folk magic, energy work, and spirit communication. DIYer 'til death, throw the book in the bin and go with what works, regardless of what that may be.

I don't plan on posting a lot of "Here's exactly how I did this particular thing!" because I feel we should foster our own personal craft. I will probably (time permitting) be posting a lot about the foundational principles I follow when I'm creating my own spells and rituals.

-Interests:

Besides all the witchy stuff I've listed so far (I love learning about all sorts of traditions and paradigms), I'm big into vulture culture and curio collecting, antiques, astronomy, history, mythology, and symbology.

-Brief Bio:

I was born to a spiritualist mother who sadly passed away when I was a toddler, I was then raised by Wiccans and pagans. I've been doing this my whole life. I started my craft as a way to feel closer to my mother but gradually diverged into doing it for myself, I'm almost always witching, it's my passion and what I live to do.

-Name you would like to go by: Kat or Leny is fine

-Present path or tradition: Self-constructed, spirit-initiated, fairly eclectic, animistic. I pay respects primarily to Athena and the gods of väenusko, but my magical path is overall more secular than not.

-Interests: music (I sing and play keyboards), calligraphy, poetry, mixology, gardening, handcrafts. Much of that overlaps with my magical practice.

-Age (not mandatory):
 30

-Brief Bio: I've been a witch and pagan for about 15 years now. It's been a long and interesting road, and I'm sure I've yet got a ways to go. There's always more to learn! I live in northern Utah with my boyfriend and two cats, and moderate the Energy Spiral discord group. I bartend in my day job and have a long-term project of writing a book about making magical cocktail potions.

Name You Would Like To Go By: Faolain

Present Path or Tradition: Norse Heathenry, with a focus on the Goddesses. However, I am a devotee of Freyja prioritize Her.

Interests: Art, video games, cartoons, various types of intersectional social justice, the environment, sustainable subsistence gardening and homesteading.

Age (not mandatory): 26

Brief Bio: I was raised a strict Catholic. Even now I find it a bit hard to unlearn a lot of what I was raised with, but I've been working on it. From a young age I was fascinated with the occult from watching shows like Truth or Scare as a kid at night when my family was asleep. I've been a witch since I was roughly 20, and discovered heathenry when I was 15, although I did not make the leap to dedicate myself until well into adulthood - so I'm a bit of a baby compared to a lot of other people around here, but I like to live each day learning and growing.

As a lesbian, mixed-race feminist I've been largely excluded from local and online Heathenry groups, so I gravitated toward Freyja due to the need for a strong, guiding female presence in my life that I didn't have otherwise. She has been in equal parts healing for my traumas and pushing for me to be better and stronger. As an intersectional eco-feminist, I devote my feminist and environmental activism to Her as my own personal war.

I've also been researching into Seidhr, for the sake of augmenting my magickal practice further. I'm mostly what I would call a kitchen or cottage witch, with some sprinklings of hedgecraft in there for flavor.

Boy, that got a little political. But that's my daily life for ya. Anyway, hi everyone!

I hope this is okay to post here!

I'm one of the admins for the newly-created group inclusiveheathenry.

It is intended to be open to people regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, orientation or disability. This community is open to the followers of all Heathen gods. This includes Loki and the jotnar.

We don't permit intolerance towards marginalized groups. (Nazis, folkish heathens and the like are not welcome.)

If you share our inclusive perspective, please consider joining.

-Name you would like to go by: Rowan

-Present path or tradition: Norse Heathen/norse paganism

-Interests: writing (mainly spec. fic), books, music, art, history, science, language, sociology/psychology.... whatever takes my fancy.

-Age (not mandatory):
late 20s

-Brief Bio: Like most, was raised Christian, but I was a pagan in mindset from an early age. Drifted off into agnosticism/atheism but couldn't shake the niggling feeling of something at my shoulder. It wasn't that I was interested in Norse stuff, so much as it found me. (Wandering wizards can be very persuasive.)
