Name You Would Like To Go By: Faolain
Present Path or Tradition: Norse Heathenry, with a focus on the Goddesses. However, I am a devotee of Freyja prioritize Her.
Interests: Art, video games, cartoons, various types of intersectional social justice, the environment, sustainable subsistence gardening and homesteading.
Age (not mandatory): 26
Brief Bio: I was raised a strict Catholic. Even now I find it a bit hard to unlearn a lot of what I was raised with, but I've been working on it. From a young age I was fascinated with the occult from watching shows like Truth or Scare as a kid at night when my family was asleep. I've been a witch since I was roughly 20, and discovered heathenry when I was 15, although I did not make the leap to dedicate myself until well into adulthood - so I'm a bit of a baby compared to a lot of other people around here, but I like to live each day learning and growing.
As a lesbian, mixed-race feminist I've been largely excluded from local and online Heathenry groups, so I gravitated toward Freyja due to the need for a strong, guiding female presence in my life that I didn't have otherwise. She has been in equal parts healing for my traumas and pushing for me to be better and stronger. As an intersectional eco-feminist, I devote my feminist and environmental activism to Her as my own personal war.
I've also been researching into Seidhr, for the sake of augmenting my magickal practice further. I'm mostly what I would call a kitchen or cottage witch, with some sprinklings of hedgecraft in there for flavor.
Boy, that got a little political. But that's my daily life for ya. Anyway, hi everyone!
