Something of an Introduction
Dec. 14th, 2018 11:41 pmWhoops, I just realized earlier this evening that I joined this
community a few days ago but haven't posted any kind of introduction
yet. My bad!
In my defense, however, I've been super busy the past few days,
dealing with a lot of diffrent things on top of each other. That and
I'm sort of taking my time and getting to know this web site again, as
it's been a couple of years since I last had an account here on Dream
Width, and I quickly realized that I forgot a lot of what I originally
knew of how this place worked since then.
Anyway, with that out of the way, please allow me to introduce myself!
Hello there! It is nice to meet you all! My name is Robert, though
please just call me Rob or Blind Rob for that matter. Why Blind Rob,
you ask? Well, aside from the fact that I'm mostly blind to the point
I can only see to a certain extent these days and require a screen
reader when I'm on the web, I tend to naturally fall into the
stereotypical role of that blind diviner/seer/magician/healer or
whatever you want to call it most of the time. Especially whenever I'm
around a bunch of other pagans and similar spiritually typed people.
At the time of this introduction post, I am thirty one years old. I
turned thirty one back in september. I'm also bigender, and use both
he/him and she/her pronouns, though he and him are more of my primary
pronouns than the others for the most part. It's kind of complicated
and I'm still figuring out how to explain it all, even after all these
years.
Spiritually speaking, I practice various forms of Irish Paganism,
specifically An Creideamh Sí and Brigideacht. Or in other words my
general spiritual practice falls within what would be considered irish
faerie faith, while I'm specifically devoted and dedicated to Brigid,
and thus the center point of my religious faiths and practice is
guided and formed around such.
While less of what I believe and more of what I do, I also practice
several things that could and would be considered gaelic folk magic,
the bardic arts (both from a secular and religious perspectives), and
several things that would fall into the catagories or spheres of
influence of divination or seership. In the same stream of things, I'm
also something of a spirit worker.
I hope this will do for now. If not, please let me know and I'll try
to edit this a bit.
Take care everybody!

Yeah, I'm fully aware that you left Tumblr behind. I found that out the hard way a few days ago when I tried to head over to one of your blogs over there and failed, as there were no blogs over there anymore.
It's kind of funny actually, because I keep receiving messages through instant messaging over on Tumblr where people keep asking me if I'm going to leave Tumblr behind altogether. Despite the several posts I've made over on my blog over there where I specifically say that I'm not planning on leaving it.
Which is the honest truth. I'm not planning on leaving there at any point in the near future. I just might not be all that active over there compared to here and other such places. And a lot of how I'll probably still be active over there will be cross posts (or more likely the case, me copying and pasting posts of mine from here to there).
Sorry, didn't mean to turn my response into a bit of a mini ramble. I'm still sleepy as I didn't sleep well last night and I've been on edge as of late. My mom has decided to decorate in full swing now, which means the entire house has suddenly transformed into a labyrinth of holiday doo. I already almost broke my foot the other day when I ran into some heavy boxes she literally left in the middle of the floor in the middle of the walkway into the kitchen.
