Imbolc/Charming of the Plow.....
Jan. 11th, 2019 08:37 amWhat are you planning for the next holy day? I start my planning for The Charming of the Plow about mid January by making an anointing oil. Previously, I've used Rosemary but last Summer my plant succumbed to our hot and humid Summer and died so I'll be using Lavender.
The last week of January I take out all my gardening tools to clean and sharpen them. During the Rite, after Offerings to the Ancestors I Anoint the tools while asking the God/desses, Disir and Ancestors to Bless them.
Cheers,
Pat

Date: 2019-01-15 08:54 am (UTC)Our present home has two courtyards which are about the size of your average city bedroom so things are limited. There are Citrus trees in both and a Persimmon in the back. Cooking, Magical and Aromatherapy plants with scattered Ornamentals fill them.
Most of the yr it smells WONDERFUL!
